What is it about rainy days that make you want to just curl up in bed and read and drink tea all day? I’m not sure if those days are worse and harder to adapt to on weekdays or weekends – I think weekends, though, since you spend your whole week dreaming of a glorious weekend.
Unless you dream of swimming in puddles on your weekends, a rainy weekend is not ideal.
I spent my morning cleaning and whipping up my favorite coffee my sister sent me straight from Whidbey Island, Washington (Honeymoon Bay Coffee). It’s strictly weekend coffee – since it’s my favorite it is reserved for when I’m home to drink it!
The Honeymoon Bay paired perfectly with my breakfast of bacon and fried eggs. I haven’t had bacon in a long time, and man I forgot just how delicious it is!
The rest of the day unfolded to get some work done at a coffee shop downtown, where I spent a few hours working on the content for my next webinar (get excited, everyone!!)
Even though it was a drizzly day, downtown Charleston was still bustling with tourists – I sometimes forget I live in a tourist town 🙂
Dinner was a nice big cobb salad (arugula-based for Jon since that’s his favorite, romaine-based for me) with avocado, cherry tomato, hard-boiled eggs, green onion, cucumber, bacon, grilled chicken, and home-made balsamic vinaigrette!
We enjoyed it while watching the movie Foxcatcher – anyone seen it?! That movie (and true story, really) is crazy! I know, the movie came out like three years ago, but I never go see movies in theaters and I pretty much live under a rock 🙂
Anyway, good night all!
