We’ve all heard it, it’s the excuse (and all encompassing an answer, really) for everything.
How’ve you been?
Not fabulous, great, or even good, it’s “I’ve been so busy!” (Okay, maybe at times its “good — I’ve been busy!”)
What have you been up to?
“I’ve been busy!”
Why don’t you stop eating sugar and processed foods with me?
“I’m too busy!”
Okay, I’m gonna level with you here. And I will be the first to admit that I use this answer ALL of the time, normally because I’m too exhausted to share what “busy” actually means for me.
Here’s the thing:
We’re all busy.
We’ve all got the same 24 hours every day to have a career, family, relationships, issues, and bull crap that’s just a part of life. We’ve all got these things going on. In so many ways, we’re not unique here.
The difference between successful people and people who just make excuses for not being successful is just that — people who make excuses for themselves.
We’ve all got the same 24 hours in a day – you make time for the things you truly want.
If you really wanted to stay in touch with friends you haven’t spoken to in years, you would.
If you really wanted to to take that class you’ve always wanted to, you would.
If you really wanted to change your relationship with food, you would.
The whole I’m busy thing is just an excuse.
How bad do you really want it?
