Missing bread? Me too! This is an awesome alternative for those who struggle with carb and bread addiction! Be sure to eat some veggies or a salad with it!
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp fresh basil (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (minced)
- 2 garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp green onion (chopped)
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp fresh basil (minced)
Preheat the oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper*** this is critical!
In mixing bowl, whisk eggs, vinegar, and melted coconut oil. Slowly mix and sift in the coconut flour and baking soda, mixing until combined. Add the garlic, basil, rosemary to the batter.
Spread the mixture over the baking sheet and add the chopped green onion on top (or add green onion on top of the sauce if making that). Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
For optional sauce: In a saucepan, mix the tomato paste, water, and garlic powder and bring to a simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Add the minced basil to the sauce. When the bread is done, spread sauce over the bread in a thin layer, then place back in the oven for 10 minutes. Serve with a veggie or salad.
